History

1933 A former hospital "Ogaki Municipal Clinic" was organized at Kuruwa, Ogaki. Only two doctors worked in this clinic at the time.
1948 This Clinic had developed to general hospital ("Seino Hospital") at Minamitakahashi, Ogaki.
1959 Seino Hospital was changed the name to "Ogaki Municipal Hospital" and expanded to the greater hospital with 183 beds in the west of Gifu prefecture. The first president of this hospital was Dr. Naoyuki Mori and he became the mayor later.
1988 Some departments (e.g., cardiovascular surgery, neonatal medicine) increased in our hospital and the number of the beds became 853, the biggest hospital in Gifu and the leading medical institution to offer the high quality care for 400,000 populations.
2013 Nowadays we have 27 departments and 903 beds, and the number of the patients were 277,727 (admission) and 574,033 (outer clinic) per year in 2011. Many physicians and other health care professionals of the greatest skill carried out numbers of operations (20,241 in 2011) and contribute the eminent high-volume center in Japan.
